Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Based on your description, you may try following the guide on the official Microsoft website to investigate and locate the charge from Microsoft on this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

If you're able to find the transaction, you can check if it is eligible for a refund through this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472

You may also try contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance in tracking the transaction:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

If you and the Support Team are unable to find the transaction in all of your accounts, you'll need to contact your financial institution/bank directly to dispute it, and they may process a refund, as this would be considered a fraudulent charge.

You may also need to have your card blocked and request a new one.

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

For an unrecognized Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft subscription charge, the next steps are:

    1. Check which subscription and account were charged
      • Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard.
      • Select the unexpected charge and choose Investigate. This helps identify whether it is:
        • A Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled.
        • A purchase made by someone you know using your card.
        • A previously declined charge that was processed later.
        • An in-app or other digital purchase.
      • For more detail on common causes, see the guidance in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
    2. Check if a subscription is still active or recently renewed
      • Go to Subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services and review:
        • Active subscriptions and their renewal dates.
        • Whether recurring billing is turned on.
      • If a subscription renewed and is not wanted, turn off recurring billing and cancel it there.
    3. Request a refund (if applicable)
      • To check refund eligibility for a Microsoft subscription purchased from Microsoft, cancel the subscription first.
      • Not all cancellations result in a refund, but after cancellation the system will show whether a refund is available for that charge.
      • For detailed steps and the self-help refund tool, see How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support for direct assistance
      • If the charge is still not recognized after using Manage your payments and checking subscriptions, contact Microsoft Customer Service/Billing Support so they can securely review the account and charges.
      • Use the official support/contact flows (for example, via the Microsoft Support “Get Help” experience) and choose billing/subscription as the issue type, then select chat or call-back options to reach a live agent.

If the charge is clearly unauthorized or fraudulent, also keep the bank or card issuer informed while working with Microsoft, as they may have their own dispute process.
