how do i activate windows on a used laptop? i do not have access to a product key.

    It depends on what type of Windows licence was installed on that used laptop.

    Download the free ShowKeyPlus app from the Microsoft Store.

    Please provide a screenshot of that app window and please hide your product key in the screenshot.
