payment method set to wire transfer

I cannot change the payment method for the copilot subscription. We pay everything from Microsoft by credit card, but this single service needs to be paid by wire transfer. It says that the method cannot be changed. Adding another profile just ends with that profile having the same info - the payment method can not be changed.

I tried feedback, feedback does not work because the send button is not active.
I tried support assistant, which told me to create another profile (see above).

I need to either change the payment method or immediately cancel the (1 year) copilot subscription because the financial department is not going to do this any more.

I do not know which type my account is because it does not tell me so.
I just want a solution for this problem. Tell me what to do!

For a billing account where the billing profile is already set to wire transfer, the payment method for that billing profile or subscription generally cannot be switched back to credit/debit card. This is expected behavior for certain billing account types.

For Microsoft 365/Microsoft Copilot business subscriptions:

    1. If the billing account type is MCA and the billing profile uses wire transfer:
      • The payment method on that billing profile cannot be changed to a different method.
      • However, it is still possible to use Pay now on each online invoice to make a one‑time payment by credit or debit card, even though the billing profile itself remains wire transfer.
    2. If the billing account type is MOSA and set to wire transfer:
      • The payment method cannot be changed to card on that subscription.
      • To pay by card, the supported path is:
        1. Buy a different subscription that is paid by credit or debit card.
        2. Move all users from the existing (wire‑transfer) subscription to the new card‑paid subscription.
        3. Cancel the original wire‑transfer subscription.

For Azure‑style billing profiles (Cost Management + Billing in the Azure portal):

    • If eligible to pay by wire transfer and the billing profile has been switched to wire transfer, the profile is locked to that method. The portal explicitly states that once a billing profile uses wire transfer, the payment method cannot be changed. The only flexibility is using one‑time card payments via invoice where available.

Given the requirement to avoid wire transfers for this Copilot subscription, the supported options are:

    1. If the account type is MCA and invoices are available:
      • Continue using the existing wire‑transfer billing profile but pay each invoice using Pay now with a credit/debit card.
    2. If the account type is MOSA or invoices/Pay now are not acceptable:
      • Purchase a new Copilot/Microsoft 365 subscription that is configured to use a credit/debit card from the start.
      • Move all affected users to the new subscription.
      • Then cancel the existing one‑year Copilot subscription that is locked to wire transfer.

If the portal and virtual agent paths are not giving the needed options (for example, to confirm account type, enable Pay now, or process cancellation), direct contact with Microsoft billing support is required so that an agent can review the specific billing account and subscription and assist with cancellation or with setting up a replacement subscription on card.
