I am a new active gm at a buisness and cannot log into the manager computer without a password. Tried resetting computer without deleting personal files. Still need password. How do I fix this issue?

I do not know how to find the buisness IT. Due to recent management changes.

Because the existing Windows account password is unknown, access requires either another administrator account on the PC or a full device reset.

Use one of these supported options:

    1. If there is another local administrator account on the PC
      • Sign in with that admin account.
      • Open Computer Management.
      • Expand Local Users and Groups > Users.
      • Right‑click the manager account that needs access and select Set Password....
      • Enter and confirm a new password, then sign out and log in with that new password.
    2. If there is no other admin account available
      • The documented option is to reset the Windows device, which reinstalls Windows and removes accounts you cannot sign into.
      • When using reset, choose the appropriate option for the business (note that some reset options can remove apps and settings). Data loss is possible, so coordinate with the business owner/IT before proceeding.

If neither an admin account nor a reset is acceptable (for example, due to business data or compliance), the situation requires escalation to the organization’s IT administrator or support provider to regain access.
