Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook on the web for business
Hello @Miranda Dick
Based on the information you provided, it appears that your Inbox is currently displaying only emails received today, while older messages are no longer visible. You have also confirmed that these emails are not located in the Deleted Items or Junk Email folders.
To help identify the cause of this issue, I kindly ask that you review the following steps:
First, please navigate to the Deleted Items folder and select Recover deleted items. If the messages were deleted recently, they may still be recoverable from this location.
If the emails are not found there, I recommend contacting your IT administrator and asking them to perform the following checks on your tenant:
- Verify whether your account was accidentally deleted and recreated, which would result in a newly generated mailbox. As an additional indicator, you may also check OneDrive for Business to see if any files are missing.
- Review the Microsoft 365 audit logs to determine whether any delete actions were performed on your mailbox and to identify the associated date, time, and activity Reference: Search the audit log | Microsoft Learn to
- Run the PowerShell command Get-Recipient to confirm whether there are multiple mailboxes associated with your account. Reference: Get-Recipient (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn
These checks will help determine whether the issue is related to mailbox recreation, administrative actions, or other changes at the tenant level.
Please let me know if you have any concern about the issue. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
