Hi Gene,

It looks like the client might need to be Reset.

Via https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4375923/(article)-reset-the-onedrive-sync-client?forum=msoffice-all&referrer=answers

In the Windows search,

Type cmd, right-click it, and choose Run as Administrator.

reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive\Accounts\Business1" /f
reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive\Accounts\Business2" /f
reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive\Accounts\Business3" /f
  1. Press Windows + R, then run: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset
  2. Go to: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\Settings and delete all folders inside the Settings directory

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

Follow these steps to resolve the OneDrive sign-in loop on the PC:

    1. Confirm the account and password
      • First verify that the username and password are correct by signing in to the Microsoft Account dashboard or your Microsoft 365 account in a browser, which is already working in this case.
      • Make sure the same account is being used in the OneDrive app on the PC.
    2. Restart the OneDrive app
      • Select Start (Windows) and search for OneDrive.
      • If OneDrive is not running, start it and try to sign in again.
      • If it is running but stuck, right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, exit/close OneDrive, then start it again from StartOneDrive.
    3. Check for connection or firewall/VPN issues
      • If the app still cannot complete sign-in, the problem may be with a firewall, VPN, or internet provider blocking OneDrive.
      • Temporarily disconnect from VPN and any third‑party firewall, or try another network (for example, a mobile hotspot) and attempt sign‑in again.
      • For managed networks, ensure required OneDrive URLs and ports are allowed as described in Required URLs and ports for OneDrive.
    4. Make sure the latest OneDrive client is installed
      • Install or update to the latest OneDrive sync app from the Microsoft OneDrive app, then try signing in again.
    5. If OneDrive won’t start at all
      • If the OneDrive sync app does not start or never prompts for sign‑in, a Group Policy setting may be blocking it.
      • An administrator should check the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\OneDrive and ensure DisableFileSyncNGSC is removed or set to 0. This must be done carefully because incorrect registry edits can cause system issues.

If the loop persists after these steps, uninstall and reinstall the OneDrive sync app, then sign in again.
