    I;m guessing that you're using a Mac. If my guess is correct go to **> System Settings> Accessibility> Motor> Keyboard** to toggle off Full Keyboard Access.

    For future reference always indicate the specific software & operating system when submitting a request for help. Those details often make a distinct difference in correctly addressing any issues.

    Which version of Office do you have? Which operating system are you running?

    Generally, I would suggest trying a different physical keyboard, but if you are really seeing the problem only in Word and Outlook, that is less likely to help.
