The AI bot almost got it right...

On the Home tab click the Add-ins tool then click the More Add-ins button at the bottom of the dialog window. On the My Add-ins page either right-click the one you want to get rid of & select the Remove command or select the one to eliminate then click the ellipsis [...] to access the Remove command there.

However, that only pertains to Add-in obtained from the Microsoft Store. If it is some other type of 3rd party add-in go to Tool> Templates and Add-Ins in the main menu bar, select the add-in then click the ➖ below the list.

If you still have a problem please provide descriptive details identifying exactly what you are trying to remove. Be sure to also include the present Version Number & type of License for the Office software as indicated in Word> About Microsoft Word.

To uninstall Office add-ins (the kind shown on the ribbon like “My Add-in”) in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint:

    1. Open Word.
    2. Select File > Get Add-ins. (Alternatively, select Home > Add-ins on the ribbon.)
    3. In the Office Add-ins dialog, go to the My Add-ins tab.
    4. Find the add-in to remove.
    5. Right-click the add-in and choose Remove.

This permanently removes that Office add-in from the app.

If the add-in is a COM add-in or other type installed on Windows via Programs and Features, it must be removed through Control Panel or the COM Add-ins dialog, but that does not apply on macOS.
