Microsoft Authenticator many many problems

Question

I got a new phone and somehow lost my authenticator setting. This is when the nightmare began.

The short problem right now is none of my phones get the 3 pop ups needed to use authenticator and install outlook on my phone.

I was able to get it back on my phone ONLY by going to the website and thank goodness i was still logged in somewhere then used the QR code to get it back. Otherwise i think no more email ever. It seems there is no way to get authenticator back one you get locked out.

By Microsoft suggestion, i use password-less login, maybe that also contributed, but i turn that on and off at times just to get things going.

When i say use alternative codes, like my phone, the codes send, they are accepted but they dont work. When i try to use my email, it somehow wants to send the same code to the same email and then it fails.

I tried to contact support, and all they told me was to "wait 7 days" i really think if i wasnt logged in i may never be able to retrieve my emails.

So i cant get any pop up codes for the authenticator on both my phones that DO have authenticator installed, and there is no way just to tell outlook to use the 6 digit code from the app.
