I know this has possibly been requested numerous times over the years...but due to the hardware shortages, some of us have to downgrade the hardware to get a PC workable for todays standards.

Can you make installs completely customizable so that performance is faster and not cluttered with so much background programs (noise) that even the oldest PCs could work with the latest updates?

Also, I have a peeve about the current system. At irregular hours, my PC comes on to light up the room and then falls back asleep. I don't know if there is a log of these happenings, but I don't know what is going on to disable such activities when I am asleep, and not woken up by the glare of my monitor turning on in the middle of the night? I do not think it is a update.

Hi ,

This feature would be really helpful and improve usability of the product. With that said, you can submit this type of suggestion to the Microsoft Feedback Hub. Feedback Hub is designed for users to report issues, suggest improvements, and request features directly to Microsoft. You would create a new feedback item, describe the problem and your suggestion (like making installs more customizable and controlling unexpected wake events), and submit it. Microsoft collects and reviews these submissions, and higher-engagement items are more likely to influence future updates.

You can open Feedback Hub by pressing Win + F or searching for Feedback Hub in the Start menu, then click “Give feedback” to submit your request.
