Hi,

When I start my computer after a shutdown. The windows hello wouldn't log me in automatically as before, after a bit computer will ask me for pin. If I manually ask it to recognize via windows hello it works.

And if after putting my computer to sleep I turn on it is able to work automatically,

Kind of stuck here, please help

thanks

I have the same problem. Tried everything, nothing worked. I am on an insider build.

    Hi David,

Thank you for posting your question here! I understand you need help regarding your Windows Hello doesn't work automatically on first startup.

Fast Startup can sometimes prevent Windows Hello from signing you in automatically after a full shutdown because the system boots in a hybrid state, so turning it off may help. You can do this by going to Settings then System then Power and Battery then Additional power settings then Choose what the power buttons do and disabling Fast Startup. It also helps to review your sign in options under Settings then Accounts then Sign in options then Additional settings. Make sure Automatically save my apps and restart them when I sign in is turned off and turn on then use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up after updates.

Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thank you and I appreciate your effort.

    Regards,

    Angelique P.
