Open the Settings App.

Go to System - Recovery.

Click the 'Reinstall Now' button in the 'Fix problems with Windows Udpates' section, then wait for that process to complete.

This process should fix any corruption in Windows and this process will not affect your files, settings or installed apps.

Use these steps in order on the Surface Pro 7:

1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache
   1. Press Windows logo key + R.
   2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
   3. A blank Command Prompt window opens; after about 10 seconds it closes and Microsoft Store should open automatically.
2. Make sure Windows is fully updated
   1. Open Settings > Windows Update.
   2. Select Check for updates and install any available updates.
   3. Restart the device when updates finish, then try Microsoft Store again.
3. Check time, date, and region
   1. Open Settings.
   2. Confirm the Time & language and Region settings are correct for the current location.
4. If the Store still will not open
   1. Confirm that the Microsoft Store app is present and not disabled:
      • On Windows 11, select Start and search for Microsoft Store.
      • If it appears, try opening it from there.
      • If it does not appear, make sure the device is signed in with a Microsoft account and not a local account, and that it is not a work device where the Store has been turned off by an administrator.
