the drivers have been reloaded today at least once but disappeared on shutting down pc and restarting so I do not think it's a software problem but a problem with the laptop

black screen with following message:- can not find camera check it's connected and installed properly that it isn't being blocked by anti virus software and that drivers are up to date if there's a physical switch or button for the camera on your pc make sure that it's turned on.

if you need it here's the error code 0xAooF4244<no cameras are attached

When you said driver missing, you mean it just disappeared from Device Manager all together?

If you open the Camera app, what does it say? Any error message? Or is it just a black screen? Any additional information would be helpful if you don't mind.

Also, can you please hold down Windows + R keys, type in msinfo32.exe and hit enter. Then share a screenshot of the System Information window. Thanks!
