Hello,
I've set up sever 2019 on a physical host and using Hyper-V to run two VM's, a DC & File server. I've setup DHCP & DNS on my DC, the scope I've chosen is 172.16.1.16 - 172.16.1.254. I've set my DC to static of IP of .92, set the DNS to .92 & the router to 172.16.1.1. I've have added an exclusion for DC IP in my scope.
I've not set any static IP for the host or VM switch.
The router is a BT hub which I've set IP to 172.16.1.1 & have turned off DHCP on the router.
The problem I'm having is my DC is not handing out any IP's and DC can't connect to the internet.
Apologizes in advance I'm a newbie to using Hyper-v and I've been looking into this for last couple of days but I'm going round in circles so i think I'm probably over looking something. Please could some provide some assistance or advice ?

The problem I'm having is my DC is not handing out any IP's and DC can't connect to the internet.
As to problem one I'd check the DHCP server is authorized, also the event logs may provide some clues.
As to problem two I'd check there's a route as first step.

Thank you, you've helped resolve one of the issues, I had changed the domain name which must of turned off the authorisation on the DHCP.
The DC and clients aren't able to connect out to the internet, I've run tracert 8.8.8.8 could you advise me on what I'm looking for as I'm a bit of a novice?

Where did the IPv6 address come from? If there's an IPv6 DHCP server (router?) on network it must be configured correctly else will be problematic. May want to disable that router function, then do ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns, restart the netlogon service. Also get rid of the 0.0.0.0 default gateway, IPv6 default gateway also looks problematic. Still waiting on tracert output
I've not set up a IPv6 DHCP scope, or configured IPv6 on any the devices. I have unticked it on the NIC adapter configuration.

I can't see where its getting the default gateway of 0.0.0.0.
