Hi kevin targett,
Normally, the default printing preferences panel is not accessible via manufacturer’s driver, but the printer itself instead. Besides going through Settings like Q&A Assist suggested, here are a few other ways to confirm if a specific panel exists:
1 - Through printing action
- Open any document or image (or printing material)
- Press Ctrl + P or select Print option in the menu
- Select your printer > Printer Properties
- The exact name varies according to the app
- Often labeled as Properties, Preferences, Settings
2 - Look for a separate manufacturer utility
- Many vendors have a standalone configuration app for printing
- In Taskbar, search for the printer brand name (e.g. HP, Canon, Epson)
- If not found, visit the manufacturer website to check if there’s an app for it.
Windows itself does not create a separate “default printing preferences” UI, it depends entirely on the printer. Let me know your printer model, I can help looking into it!
