To stop a recurring Microsoft 365/Office subscription payment like the Rs. 162.84 charge, recurring billing must be turned off or the subscription cancelled from the Microsoft account that is being billed.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page and sign in with the Microsoft account that is being charged: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- If there is more than one Microsoft account, ensure the correct one is used.
- In the list of subscriptions, locate the Microsoft 365/Office subscription that matches the recurring charge.
- Select Manage next to that subscription.
- Turn off recurring billing:
- If the option Turn off recurring billing is visible, select it.
- Read the details, then confirm by choosing I don't want my subscription.
- Access to the subscription continues until the expiry date shown.
If Turn off recurring billing is not visible:
- The subscription may already be set to end on the date shown under Expires on, or
- The subscription may have been purchased through a third-party billing partner (such as a mobile app store or retailer). In that case, subscription management (cancelling, renewing, changing payment method) must be done through that third party.
If the subscription is past due and still trying to charge the card:
- On the same Services & subscriptions page, select Manage for the subscription.
- If a Pay now option appears, use it to resolve the past-due state or change how to pay by selecting Change how you pay and updating the payment method.
- After resolving any past-due status, turn off recurring billing as above so future charges stop.
If a prepaid subscription code is being used instead of recurring billing, recurring payments cannot be changed for that term; the subscription simply expires at the end of the prepaid period. A new subscription can be purchased later with updated payment info if needed.
