- Try redeeming the code directly at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/redeem rather than through the app or console if you haven't already. Make sure you're redeeming it on the same platform/store it was bought from
- Make sure you're not using a VPN. If you are, turn it off. Then sign out of your Microsoft account, sign back in, and try redeeming again.
If the regions already match and the issue persists, the code was likely purchased for a different country/region than the account.
- If it was sent as a gift, the sender can go to their Order history, cancel the item, and resend it using the correct region.
- If it was bought from a retailer, the purchaser may need to contact the retailer for further assistance.
