So i recently decided to install updates on windows 8.1 however did not have enough space. I decided to then use disk cleanup & deleted 7GB of data, I emptied my recycle bin as well yet when I tried to install the updates yet again, there still was not enough. I went to my C drive & realized that I did not gain any disk space. I've been running disk cleanup continuously as well & only ended up with more disk space than before. I have no idea what's going on, please help.

Install TreeSize Free and analyze which folders are using the most disk space.

    Hi there,

You would need a minimum of 8 GB free space in your OS drive for any updates, if not the only option would be a clean install.
