    • Search for "Refund Microsoft 365 subscription" in the search box.
    • Click "Get Help", then scroll to the bottom and select "Contact Support”.
    • When prompted to select Products & Services, select Billing> Subscriptions> Charged unexpectedly / Refund

For an unrecognized Microsoft charge such as “Microsoft *Text to image,” the next steps are:

    1. Check what the charge is for
      • Sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard and go to the Manage your payments page: Manage your payments.
      • Locate the payment method that matches the card with the charge and select Investigate next to the transaction if available. This helps identify whether it is a subscription, app, or in‑app purchase.
      • You can also review your order history by signing in at account.microsoft.com/billing and checking Payment & billing > Order history for any Completed or Redeemed orders that match the amount and date of the charge.
    2. If the purchase is accidental or unauthorized
      • For accidental or unauthorized purchases, request a refund using the guidance in Returning items you bought from Microsoft for exchange or refund (apps and games purchased from Microsoft Store).
      • If there is any sign that someone else used the account, follow the steps to recover a compromised Microsoft account and help protect it (change password, review sign‑ins, etc.).
    3. If the charge is still not recognized
      • Use the Microsoft Support channels for billing issues (Microsoft Store or Microsoft 365 billing support) to have an agent review the charge and your account details.
      • If Microsoft and support tools cannot locate the transaction on any of the Microsoft accounts, contact the bank or card issuer to dispute the charge as potentially fraudulent. This may result in a chargeback (a transaction reversal initiated by the bank or card provider).
    4. Prevent future unexpected charges
      • Review and cancel any unneeded Microsoft subscriptions associated with the account.
      • If children or family members use the account or payment method, enable family features such as requiring an organizer’s approval before purchases.
