Administrator password lost

I configured a new Win11 PC for an employee using my own Microsoft account credentials, then before handing it to them disconnected it from my account. It will however now not accept either my account password nor theirs as admin password and we are unable to install any new software without one. What could we do to solve this short of resetting the entire machine to its factory settings? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Boot from installation media but select Repair. Run command prompt, run

net user Administrator /active:yes

command.

Reboot PC and use this account to login and change your user's account password.

Do not forget to disable this account because it reduces Windows safety.

Administrator name may be needed to change according to Windows locale.
