Microsoft Clarity Brand agents are currently in beta and only available to selected Shopify sites. After installing Clarity on Shopify, the agent can’t be published until approval for the Brand agents beta is granted.
To publish the agent on a Shopify site:
- Join the Brand agents waitlist from the Clarity/Shopify integration. After joining, a confirmation page appears indicating the waitlist status.
- Wait for the approval email. Until this email is received, the agent can’t be configured or published.
- After approval, go back to Clarity (via Shopify store settings or directly in Clarity) and select Configure and publish.
- Configure the agent (greeting, appearance, brand overview, tone, and voice).
- Use Live preview to test the agent.
- Select Publish agent. The agent then becomes available on the website for users to see and interact with.
- After publishing, the agent can be toggled on/off and edited; changes only go live when Publish updates is selected.
If participation in the waitlist is canceled (for example, by selecting Take me off the waitlist), the application is removed and permissions are revoked, and the agent can’t be published until re-enrolled and approved again.
