three viruses

For over a month I have been bothered by three computer viruses. One claims to be an antivirus software pesters me about "running a security check." Another is a fake Amazon card offering which has a little Amazon card and says to "activate a 3% cash back." A third is some kind of advertisement software. I believe it says "AV advertisement" or something like that.

I have not been able to eliminate these using advice from chat GPT. So far I have:

Cleared browsing data

Removed notification permissions

Checked and removed suspicious extensions

Done a quick scan using Windows Security

Done a 13-hour full scan using Windows Security

To get virus messages off the screen I sometimes click the or click the "sponsored"icon in the lower right hand corner. This usually this eliminates the image for a while. Later they come back. This morning that technique was not always working some of the time.

I sense that my computer is working a little more slowly some of the time.

What can I do to get rid of these distractions permanently.

Most likely these notifications are generated by your web browser.

Do you use the Edge browser?

    If so open Edge.

Click the 3 dots at the top right and select Settings.

In the search box in Edge settings, type notifications.

On the right side, select Notifications (Ask First).

IN the resulting list, delete all websites allowed to produce notficiations.

    Then restart Edge.

If that does not resolve the problem, please provide a screenshot of those notifications you are seeing.

After going to "StartS" and "Settings" there is no option for "Apps > Apps & features." I do get a "Default Apps" at some point. What do I do?
