    Hi VN Bhanu

From your post, I understand how worrying it is to lose your entire Inbox in your classic Outlook.

I can see there's already a Q&A Assist reply on your post covering Deleted Items and Recover Deleted Items. To avoid repeating the same steps, could you please let me know whether you already tried those, and if so, what happened?

To help me guide you more precisely, could you please confirm what type of account this is in classic Outlook ̣(e.g., Outlook.com/Hotmail, Gmail, Microsoft 365/Exchange, or another provider)?

    Additionally, please let me know:

    • Did this happen suddenly, or after an action like changing folders, syncing, or adding/removing an account?
    • Do you still see those missing emails in Outlook on the web, or on another device such as your phone?

Looking forward to your reply so I can guide you further. Thanks for your understanding.

Use these steps in classic Outlook for Windows:

    1. Check Deleted Items
      1. In the folder list, select Deleted Items.
      2. If the inbox messages are there, move them back:
        • Right-click selected items → Move → choose Inbox (or drag them back).
    2. Recover items no longer in Deleted Items
      1. Make sure Outlook is online and connected to the mail server.
      2. In the folder list, select Deleted Items.
      3. On the Home tab, select Recover Deleted Items From Server.
        • If Deleted Items is replaced by Trash, or this command is missing, the account does not support server-side recovery.
      4. In the Recover Deleted Items window, select the lost inbox messages.
        • Use the Subject, Deleted On, or From column headers to sort and find items.
        • Use Ctrl or Shift to select multiple messages.
      5. Select Restore Selected Items, then OK.
        • Items are restored to the Deleted Items folder; move them back to Inbox as needed.
    3. If messages are still missing
      • The administrator may control how long items stay recoverable. If the messages are not in Recover Deleted Items, contact the mail or system administrator to check if server-side recovery is still possible. If neither can find them, they are likely permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
