Changing payment method for Microsoft 365 subscription issue

I want to change subscription payment from google play to use payment in the microsoft account. Checking from the guide, it cant be change directly as it was purchase from third party (google play). So how to manage this? Should I just cancel my subscription in google play, then wait until the end date and resubscribe in the account? Will my current files in onedrive still retain or gets deleted? How long is the grace period?

Hello.

to make sure your files are not deleted you need to use the same Microsoft account. You have 6 months of time before your files in Onedrive is permanently deleted.

and yes it’s best to let the current one expire or about to expire. Then subscribe with Microsoft directly. Make sure you turn off auto renewal in your Google play subscription.
