Hello,

I am trying to use Azure Artifact Signing but the process seems to be stuck in progress. I have verified my organization email, filled all the details and have completed the biometrics verification process, yet the status remains "In Progress" I would like to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Thank you.

I'm still stuck and need help! I shared my validation id via the private message, but all still looks the same. Please get me a contact I can reach out to.

    Best regards,

    Dominik

So now the status changed to Email verification failed. but I did successuflly go through the e-mail verification (only got one to the primary e-mail).
If clicking the verification link again I get a message "No Access, Sorry , this link has been used already. Please return to Artifact Signing to review the status of your request." so I assume this did work.

    When assistance is needed

    • For stuck or unclear identity validation states, the documented escalation path is to contact Azure Support or use Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag for direct assistance from the product tea

This is what I just did I feel locked in a loop...

Based on the documented behavior, an Artifact Signing identity validation can legitimately remain in In Progress status for some time, and there are only a few actionable checks available:

    1. Confirm all required actions are actually completed
      • For Organization identity validation, after creation the status first becomes In Progress, then changes to Action Required when individual identity verification is needed. At that point, an email is sent to the primary email with a link for individual identity validation.
      • Ensure that:
        • The email verification link sent to the primary email was opened and completed within 7 days. If the link expired or email verification failed, a new identity validation request must be created.
        • Any additional documentation requested by email has been uploaded. If more documents are required and not provided (or all three upload attempts are exhausted), validation cannot complete.
    2. Check for email issues
      • The primary and secondary email addresses must be able to receive emails with links from external senders.
      • If email verification failed or the email was missed, the guidance is to create a new identity validation request and restart the process.
    3. Allow for processing time
      • For public identity validation, processing can take 1 to 20 business days, and possibly longer if more documentation is requested. During this period, the status can remain In Progress while the Microsoft validation team reviews the information.
    4. If the request ultimately fails
      • If the identity validation ends in Failed (not due to missed email verification) even after providing requested documentation, the validation team could not validate the information. In that case, onboarding to Artifact Signing is not possible and the recommendation is to delete the Artifact Signing account so it is not billed for unused resources.
    5. When assistance is needed
      • For stuck or unclear identity validation states, the documented escalation path is to contact Azure Support or use Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag for direct assistance from the product team.

    Summary of next steps:

    • Verify that all email-based steps (verification links, individual identity validation, any documentation upload) are fully completed and not expired.
    • If any email link expired or email verification failed, create a new identity validation request and repeat the process.
    • If everything is completed and the status has been In Progress beyond the documented processing window, open an Azure Support case for Artifact Signing so the validation team can review the specific request.
