Authenticator app not working

For some reason my Authenticator app has logged me out of everything I use my school email including the email its self and Microsoft teams. When I go to add my account back the app says “approve sign in request open your Microsoft Authenticator app and approve the request to sign in” but I am already in the app. If i clear the app and try again all I get is this same message how do I fix this
