Hello. I have tried 4 different cards and keep getting this same error: "Check that the details in all fields are correct or try a different card".

Any ideas?

Thanks!

My apologies. Kindly try these steps:

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Kindly try the following workarounds according to Microsoft Agent | Moderator Prakhar_Khare, who answered a similar case: https://learn.microsoft.com/answers/questions/3193503/error-check-the-info-you-entered-it-doesnt-match-t?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers

"A few of the things you can check while entering the details:

    • Enter your name precisely as it appears on the card. Only include your middle initial if it appears on your card.
    • If this is a company card, enter the company name as both a first name and last name. For example, if the company name is "Contoso Shoes" split the company name into the first and last name fields.
    • If the company only has one name, for example, "Contoso," enter the company name in both the first and last name fields.
    • If you are asked to enter the address and it exceeds the Address 1 field, use the Address 2 field. Do not shorten or abbreviate your address.
    • The card number and type cannot be edited, so if you make a mistake, you'll need to add a new one with the correct information. Other credit card information can be edited, such as billing address and expiration date.

For more information, you can refer to the section Troubleshooting problems changing a payment method in the article Change the payment method or credit card linked to your Microsoft account. https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/add-a-new-bank-or-credit-card-to-your-microsoft-account-c39dbc30-bc83-30c8-5ea9-d0d94e6dcfe4

However, if you are still facing issues while adding a new payment method, we have a dedicated accounts & billing support team that can assist you better with the issue. https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ "

When all cards fail with “Check that the details in all fields are correct or try a different card” for a Microsoft 365 home subscription, the most common causes are card/region mismatch, incorrect card details, or a bank block.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Verify card details exactly
      • On the payment page, make sure the card number, expiration date, name on the card, and full billing address (including city, state, and ZIP/postal code) match exactly what appears on the card issuer’s statement.
      • Correct anything that differs and resubmit.
    2. Confirm the card and tenant country/region match
      • For Microsoft 365 subscriptions, the payment method must be issued in the same country/region as the account/tenant.
      • If the card is from a different country/region than the Microsoft 365 account, use a card issued in the same country/region.
    3. Check card status and available funds
      • Confirm with the bank that:
        • The card is active and not blocked.
        • There are sufficient funds/credit available.
        • Online and recurring payments to Microsoft are allowed.
    4. Check for bank security blocks
      • If multiple attempts have failed, the bank may be blocking the transaction as suspicious.
      • Ask the bank or card issuer to check for declined Microsoft/Microsoft 365 transactions and explicitly allow them, then try again.
    5. Try again after updating or replacing the payment method
      • If the card number itself changed, add it as a new payment method rather than editing the old one.
      • If still unable to add the card after confirming all of the above, contact the bank first, then contact Microsoft support to review the payment method on the account.
