Difficult sing in

Recently, when I tried to sign in to my email account, I couldn't. I receive a message: "You've tried many times with an incorrect account or password."   Then Hotmail asks me "other ways to sign in", like sending a code to another email address or phone number.   I do these steps every time I want to sign in.  I want to ask Hotmail about this problem but i couldn't find any root for it.

Only one particular email address is causing this problem.   Others email address the sign in is normal.

I'm using Windows 10 at the moment.

Thanks a lot for the reply and helpful info!

I created a two-step varication, and waited several days. Still, the problem resists.   Sometimes hotmail opens, others days it cannot.   Also, the two step varication look a little complicated.

Also, today i got a new message: "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in.  For more details, please use this link."

    Then shortly hotmail open ok.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

There is a possibility that a hacker repeatedly tried to sign in to your account, which triggered the system to detect multiple failed sign-in attempts or an unusual login pattern, resulting in the account being blocked and forcing you to reset the password to unblock it.

To avoid this, kindly secure your account by enabling the two-step verification feature and ensure that your verification methods are updated on account.microsoft.com > Security > Manage how I sign in

Then please follow the guide from this thread to prevent unauthorized logins: https://learn.microsoft.com/answers/questions/4049625/someone-is-repeatedly-trying-to-access-or-hack-my?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers

“Please note that this is a public forum, I will be responding you in short period of time and regret for a delay in response. As I am merely a fellow user trying to provide insight and information that may be helpful to others.”

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
