Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hello,
This issue has recently been affecting many users.
Microsoft’s sign‑in system may enter a loop where the password, verification options, and error messages repeat even when the credentials are correct.
Before trying any other workaround, please use the Microsoft Sign‑In Helper.
This is the official tool designed to resolve password and login‑related problems, and it is the fastest way to verify your identity and break out of the loop.
(You can find the Sign‑In Helper in the support article linked on the Microsoft account help page.)
I can't sign in to my Microsoft account
If the page does not load normally, please try the following temporary workarounds:
• Try a different browser
• Use InPrivate/Incognito mode to avoid cached sessions
• Try signing in from a smartphone or another device
• If pasting the URL into the browser’s address bar does not work, paste the
same link into the Google search box and open it from the search suggestions.
This forces a clean session and often allows the page to load normally.
These steps can sometimes break the loop and allow you to sign in again.
If the issue persists even after using the Sign‑In Helper, it may be caused by a temporary security lockout on Microsoft’s authentication servers. In that case, you may need to wait until the lockout clears automatically.
Please try the steps above and see whether you are able to sign in again.
