An MHTML file is not an image file, it just contains the HTML code form a web page, it does not contain images.

Double click the MHTML file, it should open the original web page in your web browser.

When the web page opens, press Ctrl + S to open the Save dialog, at the bottom or the Save dialog, set the File Type to Web Page (Complete) HTML, usually that is the bottom file type in the list, then save the file.

Wait for the web page to save, that should create a web page and a folder beside it with the images in the folder.

MHTML files are web-page archives, not image files, so they cannot be directly converted to JPG using built‑in Windows tools. The content must first be opened and then saved or exported as images.

On Windows, a practical approach is:

    1. Open the .mhtml file in a browser (such as Microsoft Edge).
    2. Navigate to each photo in the album and save each image:
      • Right‑click the photo and choose the option to save the picture.
      • Save in an image format such as JPEG/JPG if offered.
    3. If the browser does not offer JPEG directly, save the image in another supported format (such as PNG) and then use an image tool to export or save it as JPEG.

Office apps and Windows tools support exporting or saving pictures to standard image formats including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and others. For example, in Office apps on Windows and macOS, pictures can be saved as separate files in formats such as JPEG and PNG, which are suitable for photo books.

If the album is actually a document (for example, a Word or PowerPoint file that was saved or printed to MHTML), another option is to open the original document (if available) and use the app’s image export features to save each picture as a separate JPEG file.
