    Hi,

Yes, of course you can use the USB or Wi-Fi Direct port, however you need to have the printer drivers installed offline with the tools and drivers.

What is the model of your Brother printer? I can check the offline driver; please post the link to the Brother website here.

Brother printer utilities and drivers need to come from either Windows or Brother; they cannot be installed directly from the printer itself without using some form of installation media or download.

Without using the web, there are only two supported options:

    1. Use the software that came with the printer (disc/USB)
      1. Check if the printer came with an installation disc or preloaded USB.
      2. Insert the disc/USB into the laptop.
      3. Run the setup program from that media and follow the on‑screen prompts to install the Brother utilities and drivers.
      4. Be aware that software on the disc may be outdated; the preferred method is to download the latest version from Brother’s website when internet access is available.
    2. Use Windows’ built‑in drivers (basic printing only)
      1. Connect the Brother printer to the laptop via USB and turn it on.
      2. In Windows, select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
      3. Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner and choose the Brother printer if it appears, then select Add device.
      4. If it is not found automatically, select The printer that I want isn’t listed and follow the manual add steps. Windows will use its own built‑in or Windows Update drivers if available.

These methods can provide drivers and basic functionality without browsing the web, but full Brother utility suites (management tools, scanner utilities, etc.) normally require downloading the installer from Brother’s official website.
