It's also missing for all our users with an E5 license. It doesn't show in the clients nor in web.

We haven't change any setting whatsoever. Only the Copilot for M365 licensed users can still see the Copilot button in teams and Outlook.

Use the following steps to restore the Copilot button in Outlook and Teams.

    1. Verify the correct account and license
      • In Outlook and Teams, confirm that the signed-in account has a Copilot license.
      • For home users, this means Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, or Copilot Pro.
      • For business users, this means Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, E5, F1, or F3 plus Microsoft 365 Copilot.
    2. Refresh the Microsoft 365 license
      • Windows desktop apps (Outlook):
        1. Open any Microsoft 365 app (for example, Word).
        2. Go to File > Account.
        3. Select Update License.
        4. Close and restart all Microsoft 365 apps.
      • Mac desktop apps (Outlook):
        1. Open any Microsoft 365 app.
        2. From the top menu, select <app name> > About <app name>.
        3. Select More Info....
        4. Select Refresh License.
        5. Close all Microsoft 365 apps and reopen them.
    3. Check update channel and app version (business users on Windows)
      • Copilot is not available on the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel.
      • In any Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account and check Product Information.
      • If Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel is shown, contact the internal help desk or Microsoft 365 admin to move the device to Current Channel or Monthly Enterprise Channel.
      • While waiting, use Outlook and Teams on the web, where Copilot is available without a channel change.
    4. Verify privacy and connected experiences settings
      • Windows:
        1. Open any Microsoft 365 app.
        2. Go to File > Account.
        3. Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings.
        4. Ensure Experiences that analyze your content is turned on.
        5. Ensure All connected experiences is turned on.
      • Mac:
        1. Open Word.
        2. Go to Word > Preferences > Privacy.
        3. Turn on Experiences that analyze your content.
        4. Turn on All connected experiences.
    5. Check Teams Copilot app availability (Teams-specific issue)
      • In some tenants, the Copilot app in Teams can be set to Unblocked but not made available to any users, which removes the Copilot button in Teams.
      • A Teams admin must:
        • Open the Teams admin center.
        • Locate the Copilot app.
        • Ensure it is available to the affected users or groups (not just unblocked).
      • After making the Copilot app available, the Copilot button in Teams should reappear.
    6. If Copilot is still missing
      • Ask the Microsoft 365 admin to verify:
        • The user has a supported Copilot license.
        • Copilot is not blocked by organizational policies.
        • Network requirements for Microsoft 365 Copilot are met.
      • If everything is correctly configured and the button is still missing, open a support ticket with Microsoft 365 support for further investigation.
