To pay for a Microsoft 365/Office subscription, use one of these supported methods depending on how the subscription is set up.
- If this is a personal Microsoft subscription with recurring billing
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
- Find the subscription in the list and select Manage.
- If there’s an amount due, select Pay now and follow the prompts to complete payment with one of your saved payment methods or by adding a new one.
- If there’s no Pay now button but recurring billing is on, the payment will be taken automatically from the payment method on file on the renewal date.
- To change the card or account used for automatic payments:
- Select Change how you pay.
- Choose an existing payment method, or select Add a new way to pay and enter the new card or account details.
- If this is a Microsoft 365 business subscription (admin center)
- Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center (admin.microsoft.com) and sign in with an admin account.
- In Billing > Bills & payments (or Subscriptions > View invoices), select the invoice with an outstanding balance.
- Select Pay your balance or Pay now.
- Choose whether to retry the same payment method, use another saved method, or add a new payment method.
- Follow the steps to review and confirm the payment.
- If paying an Azure/Microsoft Customer Agreement invoice
- Open the invoice or billing page for the billing account.
- Use the Pay now option on the invoice summary.
- Pay with the default payment method on the billing profile (credit/debit card or wire transfer, depending on the agreement), or complete a one-time card payment as allowed for the agreement type.
- If using a screen reader or navigating from the account home page
- Go to your Microsoft account and navigate to Payment options.
- Add or update a payment method (credit/debit card or other supported method).
- Then go to Services & subscriptions, select the subscription, and use Pay now or Change how you pay as available.
If payment keeps failing, verify with the bank that the card is valid, has sufficient funds, and passes any extra security checks, then try again or add a different payment method.
