Microsoft 365 Copilot menu left pane

Question

Lately Microsoft has re-shuffled the menu in the left pane of Microsoft 365 Copilot (both the app and online).

Is it possible to make a customized view?

It would be nice if you could move the green boxes (and the orange) so they are sorted in another order.

9 of 10 times I open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app it is because I need to use the Admin app. It used to be pinned to my favourites in the upper left corner but now I have to click a lot of times in order to access the app. Mainly because it isn't enough to click Apps (orange menu) in order for it to show the pinned apps. It usually requires more clicks.

Is it possible to somehow fold the menus (Agents, Chats, Notebooks)?

From your message and screenshot, I understand that Microsoft 365 Copilot (web and desktop) recently updated the left navigation. Because of this, you now need more clicks to open Microsoft 365 Admin, even though it is the app you use most often. You’re also asking if it’s possible to customize the left pane (reorder the sections) and fold/collapse areas like Agents, Notebooks, and Chats.

I would like to clarify that:

You can typically pin/unpin apps and agents to personalize quick access.

But there is no supported option to fully customize the layout of the left navigation such as reordering the built-in sections (Agents/Notebooks/Chats/Apps) into any order you want.

Therefore, the quickest workaround is to bookmark and use the direct URL: https://admin.microsoft.com

This avoids dependency on the Copilot navigation structure while the refreshed UI is rolling out.

Since reordering the built-in sections (and fully customizing the left rail layout) isn’t currently available as a supported setting, the best path is to submit product feedback so it can be considered for future updates. Microsoft reviews feedback to help prioritize improvements, and community feedback with higher volume (votes/comments) can help highlight the impact.

Customizing the order or visibility of the left navigation items (New chat, Search, Library, Create, Agents, Notebooks, Chats, Apps, etc.) in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app is not supported.

The Microsoft 365 Copilot app provides a fixed navigation layout across web, mobile, and Windows. The available options and their presence in the navigation pane can vary by account type and organization settings, but there is no documented way to:

• Reorder the sections (for example, move Apps or Admin higher in the left pane).
• Pin specific apps (like Microsoft 365 Admin) into the top-level left navigation.
• Collapse or fold built-in sections such as Agents, Notebooks, or Chats.

Any changes to this behavior would require product updates from Microsoft rather than configuration within the app.
