Good day

My file explorer doesn't want to open. When I click on it my screen goes black then back to normal en then nothing happens. I've tried restarting windows explorer in task manager. I have also opened command prompt and tried to run sfc /scannow but it stops around 73% and says "windows resource protection could not perform requestes operation". What should I do?

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    The fact that SFC freezes at 73% and Explorer closes with a black screen indicates that something is preventing the process from running correctly, possibly a conflict with some third-party software or a deeper corruption.

    To avoid lengthy procedures, let's analyze the Windows error log to identify the exact culprit. Please follow these steps:

    1. Press Windows + X and select Event Viewer;
    2. Expand Windows Logs and select Application;
    3. In the Actions panel on the right, select Filter Current Log;
    4. In Event level, check the boxes Critical and Error, and click on Ok;
    5. Again, in the Actions panel, select Save Filtered Log File As and save in an easily accessible place.

    Then, upload the file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

    Post the link to the file here so I can have a look.

    Looking forward to your reply.
