Can't send email

I'm attempting to send emails, but the system won't allow it. It continuously prompts me to verify my account, despite having already completed the process. I also tried accessing the service through the website instead of the app, but I received the same message. It would be helpful if there were a customer service team I could contact for assistance.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Unfortunately, there is a service alert on the server regarding sign‑in issues: https://status.cloud.microsoft/m365/referrer=serviceStatusRedirect

Kindly try the Microsoft Sign‑in Helper troubleshooter in case this works: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/microsoft-account-sign-in-helper-7117cc8d-0d68-4658-b4fb-c4b7ee8a8e28

If the issue persists, I'm afraid your only option is to wait for Microsoft to fix this, and please check the server status from time to time.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The issue is likely related to Microsoft account validation or Outlook.com sending limits/security checks.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Complete Microsoft account security validation
      • Go through the steps in Microsoft account security info & verification codes to review and confirm security info (phone, alternate email, verification methods). This ensures the account is fully validated and trusted.
      • After updating/confirming security info, sign out and sign back in, then try sending mail again.
    2. Check for Outlook.com sending restrictions
      • If Outlook.com has detected unusual activity or the account hit a sending limit, sending can be blocked until validation is complete.
      • If messages about limits or unusual activity appear, follow the prompts and then review Fix Outlook.com email sync issues for guidance on increasing sending limits or resolving sync/validation problems.
    3. Verify general Outlook.com send/receive health
      • If still unable to send or receive mail after validation, follow the steps in Can't send or receive email in Outlook.com to check:
        • Cloud storage and mailbox are not full.
        • The account is not temporarily blocked and can be unblocked if needed.
    4. Contact Outlook.com support
      • For direct assistance:
        • In Outlook.com, select Help on the menu bar, enter the issue, then scroll to Still need help? and select Yes to contact support.
        • If signing in is not possible, use the dedicated sign-in help link provided in the Outlook.com support article.
