Verification methods expired

Hello.

I have a very frustrating situation. This morning I was logged out of my Hotmail account on my phone unexpectedly. I don't know why this happened.

When I went to log back in, it was asking me to verify my account through either of my two verification methods. I have this account for over 20 years (I was one of the original Hotmail customers). My two verification methods are no longeractive it seems, since this account was created 20 years ago. One is an old email address I no long have. And the other is an old cell phone number I no longer have.

I am able to login to my Hotmail account on my desktop, but when I try to update any settings in my Microsoft account, it is asking for this verification method just to get into the Microsoft settings. So I am completely stuck. I have no way to access the verification email/code they are sending.

I was able to request a reset of my verification email to a new email account, but I was alerted that it would take 30 days, and also that the approved status would be sent to one of my verification methods...which I no longer have! So even if they are able to approve the reset, they will contact me through an old verification method I can't access. This makes no sense.

I have no idea what to do at this point. I need to speak to a representative at Outlook or Microsoft. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with someone for live support? I can't keep searching through Q/A archives. There are no answers for this problem online.

Or if anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.

Again, I can get into my email account on my desktop, but I cannot get in on my iphone (Outlook app), and I have no way to get into my Microsoft account to reset any of these expired credentials.

My question is, will the credentials be automatically reset at 30 days? or will additional steps be required that need verification. Since I don't have access to any of the verification methods, I won't be able to respond if they contact me about it.
