Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, logging out and logging in again, and using different devices, as these steps may help resolve temporary browser-related issues that could be interfering with payment processing.

Also, ensure that your payment methods are up to date and have no restrictions imposed by your bank.

If the issue persists, you will need to contact Microsoft Billing Support for further assistance, as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Try the following steps in order:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Payment options page and make sure the credit/debit card details are correct (card number, expiry date, name, billing address) and the card is not expired.
    2. Check that there are no overdue subscriptions on the Services & subscriptions page. If there is an outstanding balance, pay it first, as failed or past-due payments can block new purchases.
    3. Confirm with the bank that:
      • The card is active.
      • There are sufficient funds.
      • The bank is not blocking online or international transactions, or transactions that require Strong Customer Authentication (multi‑factor verification).
    4. If the bank requires multi‑factor authentication (for example, a code by SMS or email), follow the instructions in any email received from Microsoft to complete the authentication and update the payment method. If a code is not received or does not work, request a new code and check spam/junk folders; if it still fails, contact the bank to verify contact details and security settings.
    5. Make sure antivirus or browser settings are not blocking pop‑ups or payment confirmation windows when paying through Microsoft Store or the account portal.
    6. If the payment still fails after these checks, contact Microsoft support or Skype/Microsoft account support (depending on the service being paid) so the billing team can review the account and assist further.
