Hello Schneller, Pamela Jo,
Before reaching out to HP, a quick thing worth trying is a full power-cycle, which clears a lot of transient hardware-detection errors on HP printers:
- With the printer on, unplug the power cord directly from the back of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in (ideally into a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or power strip) and turn it on.
- Wait until the printer is fully idle and silent, then check whether the NFC error is gone.
If it still shows the same message, this falls on HP to diagnose since it is internal printer hardware. The best next step is to go to HP's support site, enter your exact printer model, and contact HP customer support.
