A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hello Allan Shelley
I understand you’re trying to sync your iPad and iMac through OneDrive, but you’re still seeing a message that the file exceeds 100mb limit even after purchasing additional storage.
Is the file attached inside OneNote or another Office file? or it is a normal file?
If the file is not a OneNote attachment and is simply a normal OneDrive file. Here is what you can try:
- Go to OneDrive online and confirm whether the file appears there.
- If the file is only on the iPad or iMac, upload it directly through OneDrive online instead of relying on device sync.
- Rename the file and shorten the folder path if it has special characters, very long folder names, or a deeply nested location. Unsupported characters or file/folder naming limits can prevent sync.
- On the iMac, update OneDrive, then select the OneDrive cloud icon > Help & Settings > Preferences > Account > Unlink this Mac.
- Open OneDrive again, sign in with the same Microsoft account, and choose Use this folder when prompted. Unlinking and relinking disconnects the local folder temporarily but does not delete cloud files
I hope this help. Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
