WSUS Sync Failed

Hi,

We faced an issue on WSUS server from a week ago

WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

the firewall allowed the WSUS URLs and the required ports

WSUS role installed on WS 2012R2 Standard

    Please check the WSUS event log in Event Viewer and check the detailed log to learn the reason why the sync is failed

    We may also check the log of the firewall, check if the firewall blocks related windows update packets

    Hi, I had exact same issue and landed on this page while troubleshooting. For me also it started around 27th July 20

    Later I fixed this error by

    install .net 4.8

    And KB4022720

    Seems something to do with TLS1.0

    It seems there is no update for a couple of days. May we know the current status of the problem? Is there any other assistance we can provide?

    We could try to install the KB4022720 on the Windows Server 2012R2 server to see whether this issue will be resolved or not.
