I'm trying to unlock Bing it has asked for.

1 email address

2 MUID ( do not edit)

3 Anid ( do not edit)

How can I answer 2 & 3 when there is no information on what either MUID or ANID mean .

Can some please advise what they both mean. It would be very helpful if they had information on what they are , then I would stand a much better chance of giving the my answer.

MUID and ANID are internal identifiers used by Microsoft services (including Bing) and are not values that need to be “answered” or changed by the user.

When a form shows:

  1. Email address – this is the only field that requires input.
  2. MUID (do not edit) – this is a Microsoft user identifier stored and handled automatically by Microsoft systems.
  3. ANID (do not edit) – this is another internal advertising/analytics identifier, also handled automatically.

Because both MUID and ANID are marked “do not edit,” they are informational/system fields and should be left exactly as they appear. To proceed with unlocking Bing or verifying the account, only the email address needs to be entered; the MUID and ANID values are already populated by the system and are not something that must be looked up or interpreted.

If the goal is to secure or unlock the Microsoft account associated with Bing, follow the standard security/verification steps such as providing an alternate email or phone number for verification codes as described in the account security articles, and leave any “do not edit” identifiers unchanged.
