Authenticator App for Android please help

Question

I had to do a hard reset on my android phone and made sure to backup authenticator data before the reset. After the reset I downloaded authenticator and try to restore the backup and it keeps failing, first time spinning circle for over 10 minutes, 2nd time it says no backup found. I tried to use support chat and the agent told me to first remove authenticator as sign in method from my account and then wait 24 hours and try again. It has been 3 days now, and when I try to login to the authenticator app now to restore a backup , first I get the authenticator login message with a number asking me to open the app and choose the number. Its been 3 days since I removed it, but it is still somehow active. After I choose i do not have access to authenticator is asks me to sign in using backup email, which I did and received a code, then it asks for another code again, which gives me option to use the same email back up or text SMS. I tried both and I get , "not available now" for SMS and too many codes requested for 2nd email code. Been trying for 4 days ...I tried asking for support using the menu bar in the app and sent a request for support and over 3 days, nobody is contacting me. I really need to get this up and running as i cannot login to some work sites.
