Windows 11 Insider Experimental Preview Build 26300.8289 is already based on Windows 11, version 25H2 and delivered via an enablement package on top of Build 26200. This means the device is already on the current Experimental channel baseline for 25H2, so no further feature update to a newer public 25H2 build will appear through normal Windows Update until a newer Insider build is released for that channel.
To confirm status and get future builds:
- Open Settings > Windows Update and ensure the device is enrolled in the correct Insider channel (Experimental, formerly Dev) and that the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available is turned on.
- When Microsoft publishes newer Experimental builds (for example, 26300.8346 and later), they will arrive via Windows Update on top of the existing 25H2 base.
- If no newer build is currently listed for the channel in Flight Hub, Windows Update will show the system as up to date even though it is an Insider Preview.
If a newer Experimental build is listed in Flight Hub and still does not appear on the device, use the Get Help app or Microsoft Support for additional troubleshooting.
