I am trying to enable the Claude for Excel add-in for my org and when I go to setttings > Integrated apps > Get apps and choose Claude for Excel, I constantly get a deployment error: "We are unable to initiate the deployment. To deploy the app, go to the website where it is hosted." I have tried nearly everything and obviously ensured all settings are correct.

    Hi @Sergio De La Garza,

According to your concern, the error message you are experiencing is considered as a by-design behavior for AppSource SaaS-category apps by Microsoft refer to Integrated Apps deployment from AppSource fails for SaaS category apps - Microsoft Support.

Therefore, to enable Claude for Excel, you should not use the generic Integrated apps > Get apps path but to use Office add-in deployment path. This is the detailed guidance:

    • Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center and navigate to Settings > Org Settings > scroll down to find "User owned apps and services" > ensure the option "Let users access the Office Store" is toggle on.

    User's image

    • Then go to Settings > Integrated Apps > choose Add-ins

    User's image

    • Then select Deploy Add-in > Choose from the Store > search for Claude for Excel > Add > Deploy to your organization/specific users
    • After installation, the users can open Excel and activate the Claude add-in

For more detailed information, please refer to the official guide in Use Claude for Excel | Claude Help Center

I am having the same problem. If I go to https://admin.cloud.microsoft/?#/Settings/AddIns this is what i see - nowhere to add anything. I did do the Org setting step. What next?
