how i l completely leaving the insider program.

i want to unenroll my device from insider program. pls help me

Leaving insider program depend on which build you have installed.

If you have build 28020.xxx or 29xxx then you have to do clean install of released version 25H2.

If you have preview build 26220.xxxx or 26300.xxx then you can go to released version without clean install.

2). Delete WindowsSelfHost key from registry to get device out of insider program

Open regedit Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost Right click it and select delete. Restart.

3). Mount downloaded ISO (right click and select mount).

4). On mounted image run setup.exe to start in-place update to go to public version 25H2

In any case take backup all files you want to keep.

i perform these step then i exist form window insider program on temporary basis. but after some month this problem again come in this step- Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26220.8491), if i update my system . pls guide me . how i completely leave permanently from window insiderwindows 11.png

I previously followed the required steps to temporarily exit the Windows Insider Program, and the Insider Preview updates stopped for some time. However, after a few months, the issue appeared again. Now, whenever I check for updates, I receive the update:

“Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26220.8491)”

I do not want to receive Insider Preview builds anymore. Please guide me on how to completely remove my PC from the Windows Insider Program permanently so that these updates never appear again, even after future Windows updates or restarts.

Since you have build 26220.8491 you should be able to go back to released version.

When you have delete that reg key do in-place repair using Windows 25H2 public ISO.

Download that image (setp 1)

Mount it (step 3)

Run setup.exe on mounted image (step 4)

Hi,

What build are you actually on?

Use WIN+R, type winver for the build #.

Did you actually install the build you are seeing?

Did you Unenroll your PC from Insiders also?

Try the Registry Key deletion above again.
