Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Based on your inputs, it seems that there is an incompatibility with the audio driver. Moreover, kindly follow the steps below for us to sort out the issue:

    Method 1. Run Audio troubleshooter:

Press the Windows Key + R, then type in:

    msdt.exe /id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic

Then hit OK and follow the prompt to run Audio Troubleshooter.

Method 2. Roll back the Microphone driver:

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Audio inputs and Outputs

    -Look for your Microphone

    -Right-click and click Update Driver

-Select Browse my computer for drivers

-Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

-Choose an old driver or another driver name, then select it and hit next until it installs.

    -Restart the PC and check.

Method 3. Roll back Audio driver:

-Press the Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Sound, video and game controller

-Look for Realtek (R) Audio or High Definition audio

    -Right-click and click Update Driver

-Select Browse my computer for drivers

-Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

-Choose an old driver or another driver name, then select it and hit next until it installs.

    -Restart the PC and check.

Note: If the issue persists, please download and install a Microphone and Audio driver from your manufacturer's website.

Note: This is a public forum. I may respond shortly, but I apologize in advance for any delays. I am simply a fellow user trying to provide helpful insights and information.

Try these steps on the Windows 11 Lenovo laptop to improve the weak or broken microphone audio, even if the volume is already at 100%:

    1. Confirm the correct microphone is selected and test it
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Under Input, go to Choose a device for speaking or recording and select the internal microphone (often named with “Microphone Array” or the laptop model), not a monitor or other device.
      3. Select the > to the right of that device.
      4. On the properties page, under Microphone test, select Start test and speak normally.
      5. Select Stop test, then choose Play under Recorded sample to hear how it sounds. If it is very quiet or broken, continue with the next steps.
    2. Check that apps are allowed to use the microphone
      1. Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
      2. Make sure Microphone access for the device is On.
      3. Turn Allow apps to access your microphone to On.
      4. In the list under Let apps access your microphone, ensure the calling/meeting app being used (for example, Teams, a browser, or other app) is turned On.
      5. If using a desktop (non–Microsoft Store) app, ensure the switch under Allow desktop apps to access your microphone is On.
    3. Verify physical and mute controls
      1. If the Lenovo laptop or attached headset has a hardware Mic mute key or switch, make sure it is not muted.
      2. If using a headset, ensure it is firmly plugged in or properly paired (for Bluetooth) and that its own mute button (if any) is off.
    4. Run the built-in audio troubleshooter
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Scroll down to Advanced and choose Input devices under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
      3. Follow the prompts for the Recording Audio or input-device troubleshooter and apply any fixes it suggests.
    5. Reinstall or update audio drivers if detection or quality is still bad
      1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
      2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      3. Right-click the audio device (for example, Realtek or similar) and select Uninstall device.
      4. Check Attempt to remove the driver for this device (if shown), then select Uninstall.
      5. Restart the laptop so Windows reinstalls the audio device automatically.
      6. After restart, go back to Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, right-click the audio driver, and select Update driver.

After these steps, repeat the Microphone test in Settings > System > Sound > Input to confirm that the recorded sample is clear and loud enough.
