I think office just kept a stale apple‑ID sub‑token, so the renew never showed…open Word on that Mac with the ID u paid on and tap “Restore Purchases” once — it forces a clean token reload.

    Hi,

Please wait at least 24 hours after your subscription has been renewed. To check the status, close the app, remove it from the running background, and then reopen it.

If you still receive the same message after 24 hours, log out of your account, close the app completely, and remove it from the running background. Then reopen the app and sign in again using the same account where the subscription is active. This will refresh your account on the device and help ensure the subscription is properly updated.

If you need more assistance, please let me know.

    Stay Safe!

Follow these steps to get the renewed Apple subscription recognized by Microsoft 365 on Mac:

    1. Confirm the Apple subscription is active
      • On the Mac, open the App Store or go to the Apple subscriptions page (see Apple’s guidance at https://support.apple.com/HT202039).
      • Verify that the Microsoft 365 subscription is listed as active and that the renewal charge just taken by Apple appears there.
    2. Fix the “not recognized” state in Office for Mac If Office shows errors like payment or subscription issues (for example, error code 1007 or similar):
      1. Confirm again that the Microsoft 365 subscription is active in the Apple subscriptions page.
      2. Follow the steps in the “Restore previous purchase for Office for Mac” article referenced here: Restore previous purchase for Office for Mac. This forces Office to re‑read the purchase associated with the Apple ID and sync it with Microsoft.
      3. If the subscription has actually expired in Apple, renew it there first, then repeat the restore steps.
    3. If the problem persists
      • If Office still does not recognize the renewed subscription after confirming it is active in Apple and restoring the purchase, contact Microsoft Support for further investigation, as recommended in the Office for Mac payment error guidance.
