Outlook storage issue

I already upgraded and availed to basic subscription but still my outlook storage is still max storage of 100 GB? Is there a way of adding outlook storage?

Unfortunately 100GB is the cap for the outlook inbox.

I saw the AI answer mentioned enterprise subscription. However, that will not solve your outlook email since commercial subscription will have you create a new email account. They don’t use outlook.com address at all. So the storage if you get the commercial plan will not apply to your outlook.

Outlook.com consumer mailboxes are capped at 100 GB. This is the maximum mailbox size for Microsoft 365 consumer subscriptions and cannot be increased further.

To manage the situation:

1. 100 GB is already the top limit
   • For Outlook.com with a Microsoft 365 subscription, the mailbox can go up to 100 GB per person. Consumer mailbox limits are explicitly capped at 100 GB, so no additional Outlook email storage can be purchased beyond this.
2. Free up mailbox space
   • To get back under quota or create more room, delete or archive mail:
     • In Outlook on the web or new Outlook for Windows: go to Settings > Accounts > Storage (or Settings > Account > Storage on the web) to see folder usage and use Clean up Mailbox to permanently delete items (or items older than 3, 6, or 12 months).
3. Check unified (cloud) storage vs. email storage
   • If seeing messages like “Microsoft Unified Storage is full” or “Quota Exceeded/Mailbox full,” the block may be due to overall Microsoft storage (OneDrive + Outlook.com + other services), not just email.
   • If overall Microsoft storage is exceeded, Outlook.com sending/receiving is blocked even if email storage alone is under 100 GB.
4. Ways to increase overall Microsoft storage (not mailbox size)
   • If using a free account, buying a Microsoft 365 subscription increases mailbox and OneDrive storage.
   • If already on Microsoft 365 Personal/Family/Premium, additional file storage can be purchased on top of the 1 TB included, but this does not raise the 100 GB mailbox cap; it only increases cloud file storage.

If more than 100 GB of mailbox capacity is required, only Microsoft 365 Enterprise plans (work/school accounts) offer higher options; consumer Outlook.com accounts cannot exceed 100 GB mailbox size.
