Adding a second email address that includes legacy emails?

I have a Profile called "Outlook" that has my Hotmail Emails and all my emails from Ameritech emails (current and legacy).

The "Outlook" Profile has my Hotmails and uses a pst Data file for the Ameritech emails (current and legacy).

I want to create a 2nd Profile that mirrors the above Profile called "Outlook", but I do not want to create just a copy of "Outlook". Lets call that new Profile "Outlook2", for sake of discussion.

No matter what I try, I can't seem to create this "Outlook2" Profile then add my Ameritech email account where this Ameritech account in incudes all my Legacy Ameritech emails. I do have a pst file on my desktop, that has all these Legacy Ameritech emails. But when I add my Ameritech Account to the new "Outlook2" Profile, it does not include these Legacy Emails that are in my desktop pst Data File.

What am I doing wrong? I've tried all kind of recommended steps, but none seem to do the job correctly.

I did the below as you suggested but it DID NOT WORK!

What you sggest is what I did. But I get 3 Accounts added: Hotmail, my Original Ameritech account emails, and my Legacy Ameritech account emails which come from my desktop pst Data File.

But, what I want is: Hotmail, and 1 other Ameritech account (not 2) that combines my Original Ameritech account emails and my Legacy Ameritech account emails which come from my desktop pst Data File. That is how my original Profile called "Outlook" is set up.

I must be doing something wrong here. Any NEW suggestions?

To have the second profile “Outlook2” show the legacy Ameritech mail, the Ameritech .pst data file must be added to that new profile after the profile and account are created. Adding the Ameritech account alone will only configure the live mailbox on the server, not the old .pst file on the desktop.

In summary, the steps are:

1. Create the new profile:
   • Start Outlook with the profile picker (for example, hold Shift while starting Outlook, or run Outlook.exe /profiles).
   • In the profile picker dialog, select Options > New.
   • Name the profile (for example, Outlook2) and select OK.
   • Add the Ameritech and Hotmail accounts as needed. This creates the basic profile but does not yet attach the legacy .pst.
2. Attach the legacy Ameritech .pst to Outlook2:
   • Start Outlook and choose the Outlook2 profile when prompted (if needed, enable Prompt for a Profile to be used in the profile picker options so the prompt appears each time).
   • In Outlook, go to File > Account Settings.
   • Use Account Settings to add the existing .pst data file (the one on the desktop that contains the legacy Ameritech mail) to this profile so it appears in the folder list.
3. Use multiple profiles as needed:
   • To switch between Outlook and Outlook2, in Outlook select File > Account Settings > Change Profile. Outlook will close.
   • Restart Outlook; in the Choose Profile dialog, pick the profile to open. If desired, set a default profile or enable Prompt for a Profile to be used so the dialog appears on every start.

What was going wrong is that only the Ameritech account was being added to the new profile, not the existing .pst file that contains the legacy messages. Profiles do not automatically copy or mirror .pst attachments from another profile; each profile must have the .pst explicitly added.
